Water Pressure

For those of you that own a camper and use full hook-ups at campgrounds you should have a water pressure regulator on your must have list. These regulators reduces the water pressure going into your camper to 40 - 50 psi. There all types of regulators on the market from $8.00 to over $100.00. and some are adjustable. The basic ones sell for around $10.00 and can save you a lot of problem and head aches. High water pressure can break water lines and cause leaks. They are easy to use and hook up and go between your faucet and water hose. Most will last a full camping season unless you are a full time RVer like us and them you may have to change then about every 6 months. If you do not use one you might want to think about getting on, We where recently at a park and checked the water pressure and it was 105 psi.  This high of pressure would cause all kinds of problems. The pressure regulator below is about $10.00 at Walmart and other RV shops and is all you need to feel safe when you hook up to a water supply.

Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi

Having a little spare time on our hands yesterday we decided to take a ride to Ocean Drive in Corpus Christi. It is a nice area with some nice homes and great views of the Gulf Coast. We where able to send a little time just driving up and down the drive and taking in all the sights. There is just to much to do in the Corpus Christi area it is impossible to do it all in one day. One of the things on our list is the tour of the Air Craft Carrier the USS Lexington. You can see it in the pictures below that we took from about a mile away, I had the lens on my camera lens maxed out so you can see just how big it is. We are hoping to do the tour sometime soon.

Campground Evacuated

Our campground was evacuated on Sat. because of the Hurricane that was coming up the coast. All the local news channels said that there was going to be a lot of rain and wind and a large amount of flooding. So we where evacuated on Sat. and drove to a local Walmart where us and two other rigs went until things settled down a little. Well guess what the weather service and the local stations where all wrong again. No rain to speak of, very little wind and little or no flooding in our area. We where able to return back to our site today after only one night at the local Walmart. We are now set back up and enjoying life again.

Assateague Island National SeaShore

We have been here at Assateague Island National SeaShore  for five days  now and everything is going great. We will  be camp hosting here until July 14. After the first two days of rain the weather has been good . It alway seems to rain when we get to a new place.

The ponies seem to be more active this year than in the past. They come around our camp site 2 or 3 times a day.  Alot of times while we are sitting around the fire they will show up for a visit.  The camp fires have been nice and great way to unwind after a long day.

The campground is very busy this time of year and the camp sites do not say empty for long so there is always something going on and someone new to talk with. We are looking forward to the 4th of July weekend and the big fire works show in Ocean City we should be able to see them here from the beach

The only thing missing here is Internet access or wifi some we will update as often as possible.
