Tennessee 2020

We are in week two in Tennessee and having a good time even if the weather has not been the great the last few days. It has been raining and cloudy most of the last few days. The leaves have started to change. Have been doing a lot of sightseeing in the area. Traffic has been really bad in the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas. We have had a lot of fun just riding some of the back roads and getting out of the traffic. Here are some of our pictures from the last few day.

Theses pictures are at the Museum of Appalachia

Pictures from the ride we took at Cades Cove

We are taking the day to rest today Gwen is not feeling good we think she got some bad food at Cracker Barrel last night. She was up most of the night sick so just hanging around the motor home today. Hoping to get back to Cades Cove in the next few days Gwen wants to see a bear and we would like to get some more pictures before the leaves fall off the trees. Going to take a day trip on the Smokey Mountain Parkway soon so more pictures to come.

December Update

Things here at Collier-Seminole State Park are going very well and we have a great group of Camp Host and volunteers both in the campground and the Maintenance compound. We have been doing a lot of sightseeing on our days off . Gwen is looking forward to going to Napkes downtown and seeing all the Christmas lights in the next few days. There is alot to do and see in this area of Florida.

Have been trying to go to some of the beaches in the area and found one we really like at Lovers Key State Park South beach.  It has a free tram that takes you to the beach and concession stands and chair and beach umbrella rentals. Gwen picked up a few shells while we where there but did not find many good ones. Hope to get back there in the next week .

As everyone knows my favorite hobby is  eating and there are just to many places here to try them all but we are working on it. Have had some great fool .But still have not found a Cheesesteak like they have up North but I will keep looking.

We hit a big bump last week started having problems with our vehicle . To make a long story short it died a slow death. RIP PT Cruiser.  So off we went to find a car. Ending up buying a new to us 2017 Nissan Sentra.  We are really happy with it .

Hope all our friends and family have a good Christmas and Happy New Year. We will miss seeing  everyone.
