Health Set Backs

The last part of 2020 and the first month of 2021 has sucked. It all started just before Christmas then they found that I had blood clots in both lungs and being in the Hospital. While in the Hospital was found that I had a 99 blockage in my heart. Had a stent put in and all seems to be good until I tested positive for Covid-19 with pneumonia that cause me to have to remain in the Hospital for a few more days. Luckily everything is getting better and I am feeling 100 percent better. I do have some Doctor appointments to follow up with that stopped our travel plans. Guess we will be here until March.

The weather here in East Tennessee has sucked so far it has been either raining , snowing or cloudy for the last month it seems , hopefully it will get better soon. We are in a nice campground the is close to everything so if the weather gets better there is a lot to see and do. We have been able to get up into the Smokey Mountains and Caves Coves a few times to do some sightseeing . For now I am just working on doing a full recovery and getting back to normal.

Crazy Summer

This has been a crazy summer for us with all the Covid-19 mess and all the Parks and Campground still not running normal operations,  hopefully things will be back tug o normal soon.  We are now at Assateague Island National Seashore and having a good time will be leaving the the end of the month and headed back to Janes Island State Park until we decide where to go for or the winter. Waiting to see what is going to happen with all the states and the virus numbers.

Assateague Island  has been as busy as we have ever seen it this year. Guess people have been locked in too long and are ready to get out and do something.  Our stay has been good so far and seeing lots of beautiful sun sets and ponies.

On some of the days it has been so hot the even some of the ponies are taking a nap break.

The lines to get into the park have been crazy to say the least.  At times there  was a five mile back up. We had to plan our times when leaving the Island because it could take awhile to get back on. The OHV area has been full by 8:00 am or earlier and it is one on and off off the rest of the day. The lines can get long at times.

Today has been the hottest day of the year so far with heat index of 100 + . You know it's hot when you can not get any relief at the beach.  So with that I am out of here past my nap time.

Back in Maryland

Well as a lot of you know we are back in Maryland for the summer at Janes Island State Park as Camp Host. The park is closed until May 15 or until things get better with the CV19 virus. We are still getting everything ready for when we do open. With a lot of the stores in the area closed we are spending a lot of time at our camp site and surfing the internet. Hoping for it to get warmer soon so we can get outside doors more. Not a lot the update on for now just hoping for things to get better soon.

Winter In Maryland

It has been a while since we have been on the road due to Gwen having surgery and she still has not been released from the doctors. If fact they are telling us she may now have to have a second surgery so I guess we will have to wait and see.

I am writing this post on my phone so sorry for any typing mistakes. We have made out good so far even with some nights going down in the teens. Camping in the winter can be ok if you are prepared for it. On the really cold nights we found the Buddy Heater was a big help . We do not run it when we are sleeping.  We are looking forward to some warmer weather and cook outs.

We have not made a lot of travels plans for this coming Fall and Winter other than we are thinking we will go to Texas for a few months and from there who knows where we might end up. Will post as soon as we know more.
